Today is the day. I am leaving in about 20 mins to join my group at the college campus; from there we will take a shuttle to Dulles. It will be fun, ours is the well-seasoned and well-traveled group; most of the other participants from the two Pennsylvania community colleges are college-age kids. But we will have a great time! :)
I did not realize that credit unions and banks in general can obtain foreign currency and now you can get Turkish visa online. How simple. So, I am ready to go, packed up and hopefully with everything I need. :)
Here is a little interesting history about Turkish lira, the official currency:

Right now 1 TL = $.54 and $1.00=1.84TL
Let's just hope that the weather will hold up, it is raining and storming in Maryland.
